Actually “Rick Sammon’s Top Ten Digital Photography Tips” are RIGHT on target. And Sammon’s form of teaching is usually RIGHT on target as well, which is why I praised him so highly in my last post.
But speaking at supersonic speeds to try to cram ten critical tips into five video minutes was a losing strategy for Rick. Even covering “only” five tips in that time would have been too much.
I know this stuff and I really appreciate Rick but I was totally underwhelmed with this free, online video that I was hoping to be able to recommend to the hobbyists that are always coming to me for advice.
So why take the time to rag on the great Rick Sammon? Simply because this bad experience made me wonder if YOU might know about good digital 101 lessons online. No, I don’t mean Photoshop tutorials. No, I’m not talking about full-length tutorials.
I’m wondering if their are basic, critical shooting tips good for non-pros that are dished up a little better than Sammon did. Know of any? Do share!
