About AfterCapture’s “On Photography” Blog

Fueled by ideas from the community of imaging professionals associated with AfterCapture and Rangefinder magazines, AfterCapture’s “On Photography” Blog is dedicated to supporting image makers creatively, technically and in business. All three of these components to success intersect, similar to the way that still image making, “multimedia” and the Internet are converging to ensure that the rapidly evolving world of digital image making is the most exciting time in the history of photography.

With new opportunities comes new competition, and it is critical that image professionals remain upbeat and positive about their futures, but also committed to passion of the art of communication. After all, a passion to communicate effectively — no matter what the technology — is what has always allowed the best photographers rise to the top.

This is where AfterCatpure’s “On Photography” comes in: pointing out great resources, sharing the creative thinking and business strategies of top photographers, spotlighting industry developments, featuring guest posts from all manner of insightful photographers and, just hopefully, making you feel like you can thrive in your own photography, whatever your own, personal goals are.

“Of Photography” is hosted by Ethan G. Salwen, writer and photographer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a contributing writer to AfterCapture and covers a broad range of topics about photography, technology and creativity for a number of publications.

Ethan doesn’t claim to have any answers, but he knows a lot of people who have a lot of great ideas. And so he uses AfterCapture’s “On Photography” to channel some of their most valuable insights to readers.
